For guitar there are people who say they can hear the difference, and it is possible because the fat old-style capacitors of various construction have more than just a plain capacitance.
However, the overtones that would be influenced by this aren't even there for bass (too weak compared to, well, bass) so I wouldn't worry about it.
Tolerance matter. 20% less or more is substantial and in practice these tolerance levels are often exceeded. I actually went through a 20-pack of capacitors with a meter to find what I (thought I) wanted.
