Artec Alnico V PBass pickups

Anybody ever tried these? Says they are Alnico V, 8.5K resistance. I see a lot of posts for Artec preamps, but not pickups. Just wondering if these might be a poor man's vintage pickup, maybe for a backup, frankenbass, or even a main player?

They're $30, w/shipping, so for me at least, that's not a gamble I want to take, so that's why I'm asking if anybody's tried these.

My first thought is you don't get something for nothing, but it's been known to happen!

that dc resistance is a bit low, for me 11.5k or even 10k is far better. If you like alnico pickups, there are many sellers offering brand new squier p pickups for the same price. At least that's a very well known company, which artec is not.
