Artec SE3PA in Epiphone Thunderbird Pro V

Hello,

As I read on the forum, the factory Epiphone EQ isn't that great, so I was wondering, would it be any good to replace the factory 2 band EQ with the Artec 3 band EQ? Or is this even worse quality?

IME the artec 3 band was really a pretty musical, low noise preamp. It sounded great in a fretless Ibanez SR500 that I had for a while.

Have you tried bypassing the onboard active EQ to just hear how the pickups sound on their own, with just standard Volume and tone controls?
