Question Bad cable causing interesting sounds?

Hey, this is more of a confirmation then anything else.

I found recently, when playing through my Eden Metro that I was getting some scratchy noise every so often. Thought great, speakers, but I don't really play that loud or hard. I then started to notice that my Tone and Volume knobs were also causing some scratchy noises sometimes... Wonderful...speakers and/or pots!

Well on an off chance, I plugged in a different cable and both knobs on the bass are now quiet and the speakers haven't made the scratching noise at all!

Anyone else have experience with this, a cable going bad (probably somewhere in the line) and causing this type of behavior?

I do take care of my cables, wrapping them properly and all that, guess I could have just killed this one over time. >_>

Guess I'll be running out for a new cable at some point!

Yup. There've been many times I've stepped on my cable and broke a wire on the inside.
