Bad hiss from FOH

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, first time posting. Need some help here. I own a MIM Fender Jazz. I just installed some fender noiseless pickups and roto sound strings. I also have a Leo Quan Badass 2 on it.

At my church we have a killer system so I normally just run direct. But I wanted to add something to it. So, I went ahead and got a Tech21 VT bass pedal. When I run the pedal at home, there is a little hiss, but not too bad. When my ears were being mixed and the pedal was on, a little.

I turned the pedal off and played for the FOH and he was getting a REALLY bad hiss and the pedal wasn't even on. Every place else, it's fine. I just can't figure it out.

Should I try a noise gate? I don't know what else to do. I was bass---wireless pack---tu tuner----VT Bass

When I took out the VT everything was fine.

Thanks guys,
Drew
