Is it bad for the pickups if the strings touch it?

It sometimes happens to me I change strings and I was wondering if the magnets will wear out that way or something... Maybe it's nothing, but I'd just like to know.

Thanks in advance,
Nanne

no, no problems. If it happens while playing, it will cause a pop noise, but that's all/

i've seen people peak amplifiers out, and im sure it's possible to blow speakers when your playing if this happens due to your play style, because ive seen it done.

however when changing strings, your fine.
