Bart MK-1 preamp/eq

Does anyone know if that preamp can be used with active pickups?? I recently confirmed that the MK-1 pickups are passive. I just pickup up (no pun intended) a pair of Basslines soaps that will fit in the place of the MK1s. I need to know if the MK-1 pre will work with them until I can get the Basslines pre.

Thanks!

Lee

Keep us up to date on the differences of the SD replacements over the stock Mk1's. I'm very interested as I'm contemplating doing a similar thing myself. A mini review would be great! Thanks.

yes, i heard you should change the Mk1 pre first because it holds back the full potential of the pickups.

Hmm I've heard this too. Any one here actually change out the pre themselves and noticed this? Thoughts?
