Hey all. Which in your estimation is a better pickup? Bartolini or Seymour Duncan? If you know about them, specifically the Bartolini MM24CBJD and the Seymour Duncan SMB4d Ceramic pickups (the Seymour Duncan rep described the SMB4d as hot and transparent...that doesn't sound too good, am I wrong?). If you don't know these pickups specifically, then please tell me in general which brand? Both are Musicman style. Keeping in mind that I have a wenge neckthrough bass with bubinga body and ebony fretboard, should I be using MM pickups in the first place (since wenge is so dark sounding and MM are so bassy)? Thanks in advance!

I much prefer Barts over SD. Does that make them better?
