Bart TC3 boost with OBP-3

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi folks,

Have some old Bartolini pickups (RT style, maybe model MCT5?) that I want to use with an OBP-3 pre-amp, but the pickup output is too low for the pre-amp. I got myself a TC3 boost module, so was wondering if I can just wire the TC3 between the pre-amp output and the jack plug, to boost the final (mixed) signal...?

Is that likely to create too much noise? I imagine it would be much better to boost the pickups a little before the pre-amp, but then I'd need two boost modules.

Any advice much appreciated!

Cheers,

EG
