Hey all!
The time has come for me to replace the pickups in my Ibanez BTB1206 Prestige. I don't know what's happening with the Barts in it now, but the is a significant volume difference between the B and the rest of the bass.

Anywho....the first replacement to come to mind are the Bart XXP46M dual coil set. But I've been curious about the Nordstrands as well.
The tone I'm looking for is something that would sound good in a fusion/jazz/funk setting. I also play in a band that does a lot of old R&B, disco, and soul tunes. For a slap tone, I want something similar to Alain Caron, and for fingerstyle; something like Hadrian Fereau.
I'm wondering what Nordstrand pickups would get me close to both of those? I've done some research on here and couldn't really find what I was looking for, however, I did find out about the Big Singles and that they have a 60 cycle hum when one of the pups is soloed, which I don't really care for. If anyone has any advice, or can point me to a thread that I missed, I would be much obliged!!
