Bartolini 2-band for Conklin GT-7 question

Sign in to disble this ad
I just bought a Bartolini NTBT 4.2 for my Conklin GT-7. I plan on installing it myself. It's prewired so most of the work has been done for me. The only thing I have to solder in would be the pickups & bridge ground, but I have a quick question.....

I know the ground for the pickups can be soldered to the back of the corresponding pots, but what about the bridge ground?... It appears the the current set-up has it grounded @ the input jack. It's hard to tell. Can I just ground this in with the input jack?.....

Sorry if it's a noob question, but it's the first time I've installed one of these. It seems pretty cut and dry but I wanna be sure I'm doing it right. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mr Black,
Any luck on the wiring? I also need a schematic.
Please post a schematic if found
Thanks

On the bridge ground issue, from what I've found in the forum, I believe that "ground is ground." You should be able to ground at input or to foil (if you have it)

Check out the great Grounding tutorial at the top of the forum.
Good luck

The installation went great & sounds 10X better..... I just went for it (ground to input) & it ended up working out.

I didn't really end up using a schematic I kinda just eyeballed it and went for it.

Worked out great though...
