bartolini 9j1 help

Hey, i recently bought some bartolini 9j1's, an im trying to put them in my jazz bass, but i dont really know what im doing, im not not trying to change the controls though. Could anyone help me out?
Advice or anything would be fantastic, thanks!

First, I presume there were p/u's in there before? Make a diagram on paper or take a few digital pics before you touch anything! If a p/u swap is all that you are doing, you will have 3-4 solder joints to redo. You will need a decent soldering iron (I would say at least a 35 watter) so as to get a good, hot joint w/o damaging the pot(s). It is not rocket science, but steady hands and short heat up times are important. If you have a 15-20 watt iron and hold it on the back of a pot too long, you will likely damage the pot.
