Bartolini active preamp wiring

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm in the process of installing a set of P/J Bartolini's and an HR-4.6 Bartolini preamp into my Fender American Deluxe P-Bass. The wiring guide that came with the preamp does not match the preamp that I got. The preamp that I have has a master vol. pot with a push/pull-active/passive switch, blend pot, stacked bass/treble pot, and a mid +/- pot with a push/pull frequency selector switch. The underneathe guts are a mess of multi-colored wires that connect these pots, the 9v battery jack, the input jack, and two black modules: one small, one larger with a trim pot built into it. The wiring guide shows a different setup, though listing it as the same preamp. Bartolini's website also does not show this exact wiring guide. Does anyone out there know where I can find this wiring guide?

Call or E-mail Bill Bartolini. Someone there can point you in the right direction, or e-mail you a PDF with the correct wiring for your needs.

FWIW:

fat chance contacting bart. You might try a distributor, like bestbassgear. My guess if Bart would respond to anybody in short order, it would be a distributor.

The harness should be wired complete less jack/battery/pup connections at worst. Bart may have a seperate diagram for a push/pull pot on their site.
