I'm in the initial stages of a custom fretless build. Anyone have any thoughts... good/bad/indifferent... about these pups?

If these sound the same as the other "CBC" (classic bass) models of dual-coil humbucking pickups that I've tried, they are going to sound very nice. They have a really interesting resonance in the upper midrange (especially the bridge pickup) which works very well in a fretless bass. I say give them a try!

Which fingerboard wood are you considering, by the way?

Thanks for your thoughts. These pups are being recommended to me by several sources, but not having heard them before is tough. But then again... this is a custom build so I haven't heard this instrument before either.

Fingerboard will be unlined ebony.
