Bartolini/Ibanez Knob question

For Christmas i got a six string bass, its an ibanez prestige 1006EZW or something close to that, i cant remember the letters...

...anyway, i cant seem to figure out what the knobs do exactly.
the first and closest knob(to me) is obviously volume, next to that is a pickup balencer, below those 2, there is 2 more knobs, kinda 4 really, theyre 2 stacked knobs.

i think one set is bass and treble but i cant seem to figure out the other two, i would think they'd be hi and lo mids but that doesn't seem to be it...anyone got any clue???

I think its low mids on top of lows and high mids on top of highs.

The manual on the Ibanez website (http://www.ibanez.com/support/manual...ric_basses.pdf) indicates that the Vari-Mid setup with two stacked knobs has treble boost/cut and bass boost/cut on one stacked knob, and mid boost/cut and mid frequency on the other.
