Bartolini J Info Needed...

Tying to get an answer out of Bartolini is like whistling into the wind, so here goes:

I'm want to try something different in my Status TBass and would like to install Barts. I like what I'm reading about the passive single coil 9S model but I don't see them around. I am however seeing a lot of the new 9CBJS - is the 9S model now this or is it a different pickup?

I don't need a hum cancelling version because the bass has a dummy coil.

Whatever you can tell me is appreciated.

I don´t know about that specific model. But I have used split coil jazz in 5 string basses(59j and x4 split coil). They sound veeery good. Kind of a fatter jazz tone, with a slightly compressed top end. My guess is that single coils will have a more "aired" top end.
