Bartolini MK1 pups and pre - lakland 5501

Has anyone switched the balance control for individual pick up volumes with MK1 pre? I'm considering doing that on my 55-01's but I'm not sure the MK1 can be wired that way. Holler back. Thanks

It can be wired that way. The volume and balance controls are passive on the 55-01 and goes like Pickups => Balance => Volume => Preamp => Output Jack.

I'm using the vol/vol setup on my 55-01. I'm not using the MK1 electronics, though. I switched to the vol/vol setup so that I can use 2 push/pull pots to tap the Nordstrand Fat Stacks for single-coil use. However, vol/vol can be used for the MK1 pickups and preamp, too.

It cannot be wired that way - mk1 preamp is using propriate wires for balance.
As you see here, all pots' wires comes straight to the PCB, so there is no way to replace vol/bal with vol/vol.

(schematic of Ibanez SR505 which uses same pickups and preamp)
