Bartolini VS Delano MM pickups

Im wanting to go for a really thick but still present sound. Something with lots of low mid kick and bass, maintaining some high end clarity. I play metal so I want to go for a really punchy low sound.

So the question really is, Bartolini MM pick ups or Delano MM pickups? And which preamp would you recommend?

I am designing a 5 string. Making it this spring and right now I am planning out components and body design.

The bass is going to be a wenge/bubinga neck with an ebony fret board, a walnut body, and a ziricote top.
