I just ordered the P46..impulse buy!! I cant wait to try it out. I play jam music, blues, and dirty rock n roll mostly.

That (along with the J-45) is what I'm putting in the purpleheart bass I'm going to start in a couple of months. Hope you like it!

what value cap should i use?

i have a .047 cap with 250k pots....

I think Bill recommends the .047, if I'm not mistaken. You can call them and ask: they're renowned for their customer service. As for pots, I'm leaning towards 500k for more snap.

There's 0.1uF cap drawn on this scheme (from Bill's homepage):

is there a big difference in sound between the .1 and .047?
