BUILDING OWN BASS

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm building my own bass and I'm having a hard time finding pickups that have that extra push. I want something that I cant find in any other guitar something that hits hard and low. My style prefers an active pickup. I prefer a lot full feel as well as sound. any suggestions?

You really only have a few options if you want active.

EMG, MEC, Seymour Duncan's active offerings, and perhaps a couple others.

Or, if it's just that you want a preamp, you can get some good passive pickups and an onboard preamp.

Audere or Aguilar are popular options.
