| Busted input jack?

So I finally got around to taking the flats off my GT-5 and putting rounds back on it to use it as a backup for a gig tomorrow...I go to plug it in and my headphones almost blew my head off with crackly nasty-ness whenever I moved the bass at all. I tried a different cable and still SOL.
So I'm assuming there is something wrong with my input jack but I've never messed with electronics other than to change a 9V. So is there anything special I need to know? I assume there is a loose connection and that I just need to unscrew the mounts and re-attach the wireing? Could it be anything else? Also it's one of those fancy locking jacks. |
