| Buzz when in active mode

Hey guys. I just took delivery of my new Cort GB75P bass, and its great, except that it has a buzz when in active mode with the tone controls up. The buzz goes away if I switch to passive, or when I turn the piezo pickup on and the normal pickups off. Any ideas on what might be causing this? I wanna know whether I should send the bass back or just get it seen to myself. Thanks! Andrew
