Cable Making- Help needed.

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I have been making my own cables for a while now and all was going well, for the most part. However, I'm having some trouble with unwrapping tightly braided shielding when stripping cables. I recently purchased some gepco xb20 and it is dual braided shield. I wind up with way too thick of a wrapped ground when I go to solder the cable. When I try to cut away excess, I'm not sure how to handle the little small wires around the insulation.

Any helpful tips? Thanks!
