| Calculating total string widths for pickups

Ok, i'm choosing some new pickups and a a bridge for a 6 string bass.
The Pickups i'm getting are Bartolini G6 (for 6 string)
And the Bridge i'm getting is a Schaller 2000 (18mm spacing)
On the Bart website it says the pickups are good for string widths upto 100mm
So to calculate the maximum string width suitable for the pickups width, do you divide the 100mm by the spaces beween the strings (i.e 5) or the number of strings (i.e 6)??
Im going to presume it's divided by 5, so therefore the pickups are suitable for string widths upto 20mm.
Is this correct??
