Can a Aguilar OBP-3 Preamp be used with active pickups?

Do you know if the Aquilar OBP-3 preamp would be compatible with the seymour duncan Lightnin' Rods for P-Bass APB-2 and a single Lightnin' Rod for Jazz Bass AJJ-2 in a p j setup? I am wondering because the Seymour Duncan pickups are active.
