Can a Aguilar OBP-3TK be wired with an activ/passive switch?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, im in the middle of restoring an old vantage I have. the bass had an 18 volt preamp but it was a bit limited in that u could only boost the treble OR the bass
it also had an active/passive switch, volume and tone pot, pup toggle, and two switches for series/parrallel so i have a lot of holes i need to fill up!!!

to get to the point i am wanting to replace the whole lot with a Aguilar OBP-3TK pre. It has three pots for bass, treb and mids and a switch for mid freq selection. It is for use with an exsisting vol pot but i also want to add an active/passive switch - but is this possible?
thanks for any help you guys can offer

ps. to see the pre check here:

Yes you can. I bought mine from BestBassGear.com and they wired one of the volume pots with a push/pull for active passive. You could easily use a switch instead.
