Can anyone identify these pickups?

Sign in to disble this ad
My friend is thinking about buying an MTD Kingston Z-6, but it has had new pickups put in it. Can anyone tell us what they are?

They are supposedly bartolini's, but we couldn't find any on the bart website with three switches.

Thanks for the help.

the switches will have nothing to do with the pickups, thats in the pre amp and wiring. You can add switches to any pickup config.

Thank you. I'll ask for a picture of the bass's innards.

They appear to have the Bartolini logo embossed right on there...
Pictures of the bass' innards won't provide any info on the pickups. The underside of the pickup may have some digits that correlate to a model #.

That's just the wiring... separate from the pickups

We are just trying to make sure they are not imitations or knockoffs.

2 preamp modules... that's Bart all the way.

And I doubt someone would spend the money to make custom pickup covers that said "Bartolini" without the guts being correct.
It's a P4 size pickup, as far as I can tell.

It's likely that the pickups each have a splitter switch (2 or 3 way, series/(coil cut/)Parallel). 3rd is likely active/passive.
