I would like a REAL pro to do this. Not a shade tree tech.

Thanks for any recomendations

Im an electrician, but theese wires are too small for me. I also need to change out my pickups.
Would like to maybe redo the sheilding. Has metal foil stapled inside now. Would like the copper sheilded paint, put inside.

OK, I decided to try here. I have a qestion. I have a black and white coming off the Seymore Duncan pickups. I assume the white wire is the common ?

Well I spent all day on this. Took out the old pickups, and installed the PJ Seymore quarter pounders. That was pretty easy.

Decided to leave the sheilding alone. It was fine before, and if its not broke, why fix ?

Got all the Audere pots mounted nice and neat, w/the Z switch

Im just a little unsure about some of the connections, so I buttoned her up, and will take her to a pro to finish the joints

Audere sent all the nessasary hardware to mount the pots properly. Even hardware for adjustments.

My gold J Retro knobs should be here next week.

Have a fresh set of D'Aquisto taperlock strings on. Man I cant wait to fire this baby up.

FWIW:

SD has wiring diagrams listed on thier site so you can verify that there. I'm guessing you're not aware of the diagrams since you're asking. Given that question, it would probably be a good idea to have a tech do the work. From what I've gathered about Audere, he would probably walk someone through an installation - at least a tech who would have minimal questions.

The luthier forum would have probably been the place to inquire as there's probably a luthier from Dallas on that forum. Seems I've seen it asked before and got answered so you may be able to locate it from a TB search and skip the post.

Technically you're not supposed to double post but you've already gone through one round without response so you've done your time.

Thanks. I did a search like you said, and found a guy named Frank, that use to work at Charlys guitar, now has a place in Arlington Tx. He works on amps during the day, and guitars at night. He said he would hook me up. No pun intended
