Can a Bartolini 59J-L handle an active setup?

I have a Carvin Bunny Brunnel model here which is active with a pair of 9 volts in the back and I'm wondering if I can install the Bartolini's in there. Will the juice fry the pickups? I notice there are 3 leads on the current pickups and only 2 on the Bartolini's.

FWIW:

The battery doesn't feed the pups, it feeds the preamp (including the pre within an active pup). Anytime you swap pups into a factory preamp you stand a chance of something being wierd but it's unlikely and would have nothing to do with the battery(s) at any rate.

Don't know the Carvin pup, may be active (battery hot, positive/negative) or it may just be a two lead passive with ground which would be equivalent to the Bart. Probably would be a good idea to inspect where the current leads go - cause two of them will be where the Bart would go with the battery lead either unnecessary or one of the current Carvin negative/ground redundant (being one and the same on the Bart).
