Exclamation Can Bartolini 9E Jazz single coils be wired passive?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a custom built 4 string fretless with bart single coils. The preamp unit says 9E- NTMT. I believe the preamp has gone bad. I am in the Southern Caribbean zone of Costa Rica, so going out and picking up a replacement is not an immediate option. I need my bass for gigs, and need to get it back working ASAP, so is it possible to wire these pickups passive so I can at least use the bass until I can find a replacement part? PLEASE HELP!!!
Attached are pictures.

Email sales@bestbassgear.com. They sell Bart pup's and the NTBT. Brian will probably answer your email by this evening. If you're truly in a panic, call them... (603) 726-4191. They open at 9AM, eastern time.

Actually, why not just temporarily rewire them passive? Check out Bartolini's website. There are lots of wiring diagrams, with active/passive switching shown. Good luck!

9E's discontinued? Can't find them on Bart's website for sale. Seems that they're active pup's... Best to call Bartolini or bestbassgear.
