Anything will accomodate a Darkstar if you are prepared to route out the body..............

Almost nothing accommodates a Darkstar without routing. My guess is the L2000 won't either.

L2000 pickups are the same footprint (slightly diffreent shape... tabs vs no tabs) as a musicman pickup, so if you have to route for a musicman you also have to route for a L2000

I know "different strokes for different folks", but why would you want to do this? One of the HUGE benefits of the G&L line is the incredible power and tonal options offered by the MFD pickups and the associated preamp....not sure what you'd be gaining with the DarkStar in that particular bass.

L-2000's are smaller than MM pickups measured neck to bridge. May be similar E to G wise though.

Darkstars have a similar powerful output and tonal response as the MFD running single coil. I tested a DS P compared to my '80 L1K in single coil and the DS held its own.

I have personally took pickups out of a G&L housing and an MM housing and swapped them. The pickups themselves are the same size and also the main part of the housing. Only the tab part is different.

WHoops!!! G&Ls and SABRE pickups are the same size... SABRE pickups are smaller than stingray pickups. My mistake!
