can i hook up my sadowsky vtc to my bartolini preamp?

i want to hook up my sadowsky vtc(just the tone control kit, not the sadowsky preamp itself) to my bart preamp. anyone tried something like this???

Chaining two preamps in series? What would be the point?

You would decrease the headroom and raise the noisefloor.

hahaa...sorry i need to be specific. i meant to sadowsky vtc (vintage tone control not the preamp itself)

Isn't the VTC essentially a passive tone control? You can put one of those in yourself for under $10 I think but I have no idea how, lol.

People use passive tones and preamps all the time. Just make sure to run it parallel to the preamp's input.

vtc works passive and active....thanks for the input guys. more comments are def. welcome! im hooking it up tuesday.

Just wire it up at the input of the preamp. So it's like having the preamp after your passive tone control. If you use active/passive switching, switch after the VTC.
