Can i swap mini pot's for regular size pot's??

Yet another newbie quesion......

I have ordered some replacement pots for my Gretsch G2202. However, I have only just discovered through a friend of mine that the stock pots are mini and that the one's I have ordered are going to be larger.

Will there be any problem using the 'regular' size pots as opposed to the mini's? My main concern is that they won't fit through the drilled holes and that the tone/volume controls won't fit onto the shaft. The cavity itself looks as if it will accommodate larger pots.

If it is going to be a problem I will just order some mini pots. Can anyone advise me?

I've never noticed a difference between mini and large pots myself besides the actual physical size. If you have room for the fulls, you'll be alright.

If the shaft is a little larger, you can just remedy that with a dremel and a router bit in a matter of seconds if need be.
