can i wire my bart mk1's to 18v?

like i do in all my emg equipped basses and guitars? i'd like a little more agressive sound from my new ibanez sr700 (bart mk1's and mk1 pre)
will i hurt it or is it ok up to 27v like emgs?
anyone done this?

You won't get more aggressivness by wiring with 18v, just little less distortion while rocking the strings harder. I believe you won't destroy your pre with 18v, most contemporary op-amps could be powered up to 27v without any issues.
