Can you rewire Stingray pickup to Series?

Was wondering can you rewire the stingray pickup to series? by default i think is wire in parallel.

If you have a four-conductor output, then yes.

Otherwise, you will have to rewire the coils at the pickup itself.

sure, (stock 'ray pickups are indeed 4-wire) and it sounds pretty cool, different from the series setting on a sterling.

For a switch, or for permanent wiring?

For permanent series wiring, the south coil - lead gets grounded, the south coil + and north coil - leads connect together, and the north coil + lead is the hot.

For a DPDT switch:

Bringing this one back from the dead to see if anyone has wired their Stingray pup in series (permanent style)? I just bought a SUB Sterling and even though it's a Sterling the pickup is wired parallel.
