Capacitor .10 vs .05 uf on P bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Modern P basses use a .05 uf capacitor for the tone pot whereas vintage P basses use a .10 uf capacitor. What's the difference between these two capacitors in terms of sound?

the 0.1 uf will reduce the frequency. . . . result is that it should be a deeper sound, with less highs and mids.
