Checking solder joints :S ?

Sign in to disble this ad
Right, im using my multimeter in continuity mode, to check that my joints are good :P

When i just touch the two probes together, it reads 001

When i check it through the wiring with the solder joints, it also reads 001

Would this indicate that these joints are good? its just that some dont appear shiny ?

Shiny is not always a perfect indicator of a cold solder joint - just a weaker joint and slightly poorer soldering ability used.

If the joints aren't pulling apart when you tug, and the resistance is nil, you're done..
