are chi-sonics gonna be available separately?

and are they the same size as jazz pickups (thereby not requiring a route like darkstars to throw em in a jazz bass)???

anyone hear them and compare them to darkstars?

They look longer to my, so routing may be required. They will be available seperatly, though.

From the pics I've seen, they're more like the size of a smaller Gibson guitar pickup, like those on a Les Paul Deluxe or a Firebird. Nowhere near as skinny as a J pickup.

From the pictures on this thread [ Lakland USA JO and USA Decade with the Lakland Chi-Sonic pickups ] it looks like there are two different sizes, one for the Decade about the size of a guitar humbucker, and one on the JO that is slimmer. If anyone knows the dimensions on the JO one I would be very interested. It looks very close to the MK-1, and if it is could be a great replacement for 44-01s.

Cool, I hadn't seen this thread. I dig the look of the slimmer Chi-Sonics, I've got a J style body they might be perfect for. Now if I could just find out when they plan on releasing them...
