Circuit board size for EMG BQC Control?

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone know the length and width of the emg bqc control board. The one with stacked bass/treble and stacked mid/mid sweep. Trying to figure out if it will fit the somewhat narrow small control cavity for a bass. Thanks.

I think all of the preamps in the BQ series use the same board.

I have a BQS in one of my basses. It measures approximately 2 1/2" end to end by 1" top to bottom. (Difficult to be precise without removing it.)

Thank you. May be tight fit width wise then if the board sits a bit above pot houseing. The basslines 2band one will fit. Its right at 1" height requirement from floor of control cavity to top of board width wise. The pics on emg website make me think its flush with pot houseing which would be ok. But if it sits up a bit, maybe too close to knocking into control cavity cover.

My board sits tight against the bottom of the cavity.

I was able to measure more precisely this morning - exactly 1" from the bottom of the cavity to the top edge of the board.

In my case, the cavity was plenty deep. But the length of the board (and the fact that it's mounted to the mid control) necessitated a less than ideal (for me) control layout.

I'll keep the cover plate off in case you have more questions.
