Classic Vibe Precision Bass® ’60s PUPS vs Nordstrand P4's

Sign in to disble this ad
First time poster here...
I have a Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass ’60s as my backup bass. Loved the look, and I think the bass was a great value. I happened across some Nordstrand P4's used, got em for 50 bucks. Just looking for opinions on how this would change my sound.
My main bass is a 1980 Ibanez Roadster 920, the active one with 2 pups. Play in a 3 piece and need the sound large most of the time.
Thanks in advance for your help.

It's a simple swap out. Try them out and decide for yourself.

well I swapped them out.
The NP4's are slightly hotter, the first thing I noticed was a deeper but almost echoey bass tone..hard to describe, but I like it. Overall I like them, but the change is not astounding. I got them for 50 bucks and put them in myself, dont think I could justify more expense.
As a side note, both sets were better than EMG's
