I''m interested in opinions on clip-on tuners. Specs on the web dón't give me much info. Top priority is that it be very precise. Other important features: easy and quick (also in hectic situations) and no new battery every two weeks or so.
Price is less important, as long as it's reliable. |

None of them work for electric bass very well. Great for my
upright bass and ABG, but not the electric bass. |

Will you have time to tune between songs? Are you looking for a super fast way to tune, or can you take your time?
If you have to tune between songs in a hurry, a pedal or rackmount are your best options.
If not, any simple tuner from a local shop should work. I have had great outcome with my ~$20 from my local mom and pop shop.

Tracks solidly and quickly, all the way down to low B. I've had it four months and haven't needed to replace the battery yet.
The only negative I have found is that it occasionally doesn't track as well in certain positions on the headstock. I find it most consistently works well at the top of the headstock.

I've got two of them. They work great and use either battery or AC. When I gig, I send a signal from the head tuner out to the tuner input. I use little circular velcro pieces to fasten them to the head.
They are very accurate, and have held up well. Works fine for bass.
