Hi all,
Ive had this ACG preamp installed in my L2000 preamp for a while now but Ive just been too busy to do some example clips. Some guys at therushforum.com asked if I could contribute to a cover of "the analog kid" so I figured this was a good example of the tone of this bass with the preamp.
To be honest, when Im playing with the band live, I dial in a little more neck pickup to fill out the sound, but I was trying to get a Geddy thing going. So here is the chopped up clip. I plan on doing a side by side with different filter settings too, so stay tuned: http://www.haphazardrocks.com/flash/...CGPre-Bass.mp3
There are also some recent professionally recorded cover songs on my bands homepage where I used this bass and it came out great: http://www.haphazardrocks.com

My favorite bass tone ever is Geddy's Wal. And after doing (very little) research, I havent come across anyone that installed one of these ACG preamps into a G&L. Like I said I plan on recording some clips with some more settings just for comparison. |

With both p-ups wired for series/spilt/parallel what a range of tone. I'm very impressed indeed. Up to now I've only had experience of the AC-02 with J p-ups on my 5 string Jazz and it works really well, but it fabulous on HHs. |
