Comprehensive EMG Expert?

I have an unusual scenario with my Schecter bass, which came stock with HZ p'ups and a BTS control jig.

I've replaced the neck p'up with a DiMarzio Model-1. This necessitated the installation of a trim-pot in-line between the p'up and the vol pot, to prevent overloading my preamp! Works fine now.

Now I want to replace the bridge HZ with a stock Mexi-Fender Precision p'up. I did according to the EMG wiring diagram, and it does not work properly.

If you have expertise on this type of subject, would you PM me? I'll fill you in with more details...

Thanks!
