Constant Crackle in New bass

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently bought Schecter Stilleto studio 6 string bass and it has been working good but recently ive been getting thist constant crackle sound, sounds like burning wood, tried plugging it in other amps and what not but that sound is always there.
The sound does not go away when i turn the volume on the bass all the way down or when i turn any other knobs it always stays the same.
Is There any way to get this to stop?!

Thanks in advance

Check the output jack on your bass - check the wiring, connections even with the cable plugged in it. Also make sure there is no carbon build up on the electronics. Spray pots and connections with electric cleaner.

Start at the weakest link. Check cable. Then proceed to the instrument jack.
