Diagnosing faulty blend knob

Greetings,

I'm the owner of an '03 RockBass Corvette with active electronic/active pickups.

Problem is this: The blend knob allows sound when it's rolled completely one way as well as in the middle, but when it's rolled completely the other way, I get nothing.

I had it looked at, and was told that both pickups are fine as well as the wiring and that I have a bad EQ that needs to be replaced.

Just wanted to check with you all on here to see if that sounds right before I drop approx. $130 on a new eq from Warwick.

Thanks!

You don't need to buy a new preamp. A new pot is a few dollars.

Sounds like one of the pickups has a faulty connection to the blend pot, or a bad blend pot.
Either way, it's an easy cheap fix.

Thanks for the replies! I had some suspicions that the blend pot might be the culprit.

By the way, what are the symptoms of an eq or preamp that is bad and needs to be replaced?
