| FWIW I bought the prewired Dimarzio J kit and followed the instructions exactly with my geddy. The process was esay enough but I had a grounding problem..checked and doublechecked everything and still buzzing. Went back in and realized there is a black wire from the grounding screw (attached to the bottom of the control cavity along with wires from the brass plates and bridge) which was not connected to the pots or jack. I stripped a bit of coating off and attached it to terminal 4 on the bridge volume pot and VOILA...no more noise..Dimarzio did not include that in their instructions but probably should..
A wire from your ground has to connect to the control plate and can easily be screwed into a terminal..done..
