Dimarzio PJ Pickup Question

I picked up a Dimarzio PJ pickup (Model P & Model J) to replace the stock pickups in a '90 Ibanez SR800.

To maximize growl, how should they be wired given that each pickup can be wired in series or parallel independently of each other? If possible, I'd Like to have a tone somewhat like the first Alice In Chains CD.
