Dimarzio Split P wiring help

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been trying all night to solder this pickup into a p bass project I'm working on but for some reason I cant get it right.

The Diagram I've been following is this one- http://www.guitar-mod.com/wiring/pbass.gif

When the tone knob is turned up I get a huge amount of hiss and hum but when its down, there's no interference.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, I'll have better ones up tomorrow morning.

It's really hard to tell. We need a larger, higher resolution pic.

Re-wire like this diagram for Split P. http://www.dimarzio.com/sites/defaul.../pbass1v1t.pdf. This is how I have mine wired. Looks like the cap is not wired correctly, but the pic is hard to tell how things are.
