I bought used bass with pickups described as DiMarzio Ultra Jazz, replaced them and want to sale now, but im not sure are they really that model and brand. Can someone confirm them by this picture? Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
In recall Dimarzio only makes two J pups: ultra and model J and I've had them both. Wasn't too nuts and moved the ultra's down the road so don't have them anymore. Still have model J's.
They usually have an ID sticker on the bottom it seems but obviously easily removed. Model J's have four ceramic mags (pair on each side not singles down the middle). Color code and glue make the pups looks like DM's from the bottom. There are very pups with non-plated allen bi-poles. In all, probability is those are Ultras.
Someone else can verify the center ceramic mag layout. I can't remember.
Regardless, if you think but don't know then just state that to the buyer. Happens all the time with more obscure pups and is no big deal.
