it will make some difference, so by all means try it; in fact, all you have to do is disconnect the tone pot that's in there now to hear what it would sound like.

Ok so I'll try the TBX first and if it won't be enough I'll change the volum pots to 500K

Still got the dilema xd

I decided to stick with Dimarzio pups, because I prefere not to mix to different barnds.
I was wondering which pup will give me more growl, because I want to make my P a "Drop D bass". So either model P in the middle and Will power in the bridge or Ultra Jazz in the bridge position.


A last advice on the topic?

I'm actually setting up a PJ right now with a Will Power middle and Ultra Jazz bridge. When I get it back from my tech I'll let you know what I think.

The Model P middle and Will Power bridge was a pretty great sounding combo as well though. Really beefy, snarly sound when played with a pick, and actually sounded really great for lower/drop tunings.
